This world that we live in is literally filled with strange places from underwater ruins, to giant statues, haunted passages and, of course, an underwater Jesus. Not sure how He ended up there but He is there.

This old nuclear reactor is a spectacular sight by itself. Unfortunately since the words “nuclear danger” is not something anyone wants anything to do with you won’t find any people around here unless they are maniacs.
7. Mirny Diamond Mine

The Mir mine also called the Mirny mine, is a former open pit diamond mine, now inactive, located in Mirny, Eastern Siberia, Russia. The mine is 525 meters (1,722 ft) deep (4th in the world) and has a diameter of 1,200 m (3,900 ft), and is the second largest excavated hole in the world, after Bingham Canyon Mine.

This haunting place is where hundreds of people who were considered insane called home. Anyone who visits describes this place as haunting and unsettling. This will not be on our next vacation schedule!
